3 Simple Ways to Help you Meditate Like a Buddhist Monk

meditation helpFirst of all, I’ll tell you the long and difficult way to improve your meditation. PRACTICE. Don’t get me wrong, it is proven and effective that if you meditate every day and keep doing it for years, you will be able to meditate like a seasoned Buddhist monk. You will be able to get into a deep meditative state in only a few minutes. The down side is, becoming this advanced takes A LOT of time and practice. Don’t get discouraged though, because there are a couple ways that you can actually bypass this long process. And don’t worry, it is very safe and does not involve any kind of drugs! So here we GO.
1. Binaural Beats
Binaural beats are very simple but extremely powerful for meditation. They are essentially audio tracks that place a single tone in each ear. One ear may have 500hz tone and the other will have 510hz. This actually creates a third tone in your head. What this tone does in effect is change your brain frequency putting you in a different mental state. When you are awake and doing your normal day to day activity, your brain frequency will be in beta. Binaural Beats will change that frequency to either Alpha, which will produce a relaxed, calm, and lucid experience, or there is theta which is where you want to be for meditation. Theta will create a deep relaxation and create clear mental imagery. Instead of it taking 20 minutes to get into a deep meditation, it will only about 5 minutes with binaural beats.

  2. Guided Meditation
There are meditation audios with guided meditation that will help you focus and get your creative juices flowing. These audios make meditation even more exciting as they take you on a journey deep into your own subconscious mind. You will go places you never knew existed. Very cool stuff. Guided meditation is also so amazing because it can help you focus on specific areas on your life such as helping you with relationships, health, and even money. These guided meditation audios won't break the bank either. There are some products that are very expensive and not worth the money. You can get a great audio from $10-$15 that will blow your hair back. I suggest The Guided Meditation Site. They have both binaural beats as well as guided meditation.
3. Crystals
Yes, I said it Crystals!! I know I might have just lost all credibility by writing about this but I’m doing it anyway because I truly believe they work. You may be skeptical and I don’t blame you. I was very skeptical before I learned about meditating with crystals. You are probably wondering how can colorful shiny rocks help me meditate? Well, there are many studies that show how crystals give off strong vibrations. These vibrations are invisible to the naked eye, but work nonetheless. These vibrations help by balancing the vibrations that come from your body. One of the main benefits of meditation is to do the same thing, balance the body such as your emotions. All you need to do is hold a small crystal or have one near you while meditating, and it will boost your meditation greatly! There is an incredible youtube video all about crystals that really persuaded me to try it out for myself. Look up -Spirit Science 13~ The Crystal Movie. There are dozens and dozens of different types of crystals and each have their own purpose, but that is for another time.
Try to add all three together, and you will be amazed at the possibilities!
